Team Selection Guidelines

With the continual growth of our youth sports programs, The City of Fort Lupton is concerned about keeping youth sports fair. To make all teams as close to equal as possible, we have established a number of guidelines that will be followed in the upcoming sports seasons.

1. Players will randomly be placed on teams based on age. All attempts will be made to put an equal number of ages on each team.
2. No requests by participants for a coach, practice time or another player
request will be honored.
3. Coaches’ child(ren) will be placed on their team.
4. Immediate family members will be placed on the same team.

Waitlist Information

The City of Fort Lupton Parks and Recreation Department strives to offer youth programs to as man kids as possible, but any registration beyond the program deadlines makes it difficult to plan and schedule. All interested participants that miss the program registration deadline will be added to a waitlist and only enrolled based on availability. Players on the waitlist will be enrolled based on availability, time and date the participants was put on the waitlist. No requests will be taken for any players enrolled off of the waitlist. Players will be placed on teams based on roster numbers. All waitlist participants will only be enrolled with the Sports Coordinator’s approval.
