Horseback Riding
The Fort Lupton Recreation Department and Horse Heaven Stables once again are offering lessons for children 6 years to 12 years old. Students will learn care, safety, basic riding and horsemanship in the 4 week program. Horse Heaven Stables, 28600 East 168th Avenue, Weld County Road 2 (near Lochbuie). The fee is $80.00 for four classes; PLUS one free class by appointment!

Basic Dog Obedience by "Awareness Dog Training"

For dogs and puppies over 6 months of age. Teach your dog to be an obedient companion and wonderful member of your family! Learn basic obedience commands, leadership exercises, and a new game to play with your pooch at every class! Teach your dog Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Focus, Loose-Leash Walking, Greeting Guests, and Ignoring Distractions. Dogs must have current vaccinations from veterinarian, a regular flat buckle collar, and a standard leash (not a retractable leash). One handler per dog, all handlers must be over 16 years of age.
Group classes are 6 weeks in length and will meet on Monday evenings in the grassy area NORTH of the Recreation Center.

Daddy / Daughter Dance
Hey Girls! Take the #1 guy in your life out for a night of dinner and dancing on June 19 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Girls can bring their dad, grandfather, uncle, etc to the event. Dress is semi-formal, and each couple will receive a photo, a catered dinner, and memories for a lifetime. Cost is $30 per couple and there must be a minimum of 40 couples signed up to run the event. Sign up at the Recreation Center front desk – your tickets and information will be mailed to you.
