The City of Fort Lupton is rich in history and tradition. The goal of the Historic Preservation Board is to help preserve this history and tradition for future generations. More specifically, the Board takes the lead in the protection, enhancement and perpetuation of sites, structures, objects, and districts of historical, architectural, and/or geographical significance to the Community of Fort Lupton. The Historic Preservation Board, was established in 1994 and is comprised of seven members. It is responsible for recommending historic landmark designations to the City Council, Administering the Fort Lupton Preservation Plan, and promoting historic preservation through education and community outreach.

The City of Fort Lupton Historic Preservation Board meets the First Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm at City Hall located at 130 South McKinley Avenue in Fort Lupton. The Public is welcomed at the meetings and their input encouraged.
