Scarecrow Competition: This October, the City of Fort Lupton, Historic Preservation Board, and Chamber of Commerce are excited to announce the first-ever Fort Lupton Scarecrow competition. Voting will take place online through October 30, 2020 and is open to the public. Prizes will be awarded for the First, Second, and Third Place winners of both the Business and Household Categories. National First Responder Day, October 28th: We hope you will join us in supporting our Fort Lupton First Responders. Here are ways you can participate: 

· Chalk your driveways to thank our first responders. 

· Post thank you signs in your windows whether a home or business. 

· Tag them in social media in a family or business team with thank-you video. 

· Display colored ribbons or flags. 

· Wave or give a thumbs up when you see any of our first responders. 

Trick or Treat Street 2020: A family fun event at the Fort Lupton High School! Drive-thru in your car and let our sponsors hand candy to your trick or treaters. Enter the event from Hwy 52 by turning South on S. Fulton to turn East on Kahill Street. Officers will be present to direct traffic. Field of Honor: We are honored and privileged to announce the Field of Honor 2020. The display will be available from November 7th -14th. 2020 Census:  

o By now, most of the country has responded to the census. The Census is now visiting every household that has not already responded to make sure they are counted. If you haven’t responded yet, it’s not too late. You can still respond online, by phone, or by mail. If a census taker comes to your home, please cooperate. Your community needs your response. The results of the 2020 Census will help determine how hundreds of billions of dollars in federal funding flow into communities every year for the next decade. October 2020 Newsletter

Please know your health and safety is our top priority. We are excited to serve our community as we continue to reopen! Thank you for your understanding and patience as we have been working through our re-opening procedures.

Quick Links:

General Information: 

  • Reserving Your Workout Time: Guests MUST RESERVE their time online to use the facility. Health questions will be asked during your reservation request. Click here to reserve your gym time. Temperature checks will be completed upon entry and due to Governor Polis’ order, masks are required to enter the facility.  We also ask guests to social distance themselves and to bring their own water bottle. Drinking fountains are closed except for bottle stations.
  • General Public Hours of Operation: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays from 5 am-8 pm. Tuesday & Thursday 7 am-8 pm and Saturdays from 8 am-4 pm. Beginning on October 4th, our hours will be from 12pm – 4pm.
    1. SPECIAL HOURS: On Tuesdays & Thursdays from 5-7:15 am, the rec center will be reserved for seniors, those that are pregnant, or have underlying medical conditions. To reserve your spot in this timeframe, please call 720-466-6160.
  • Age Restrictions: Normal age restrictions continue to apply. 6 years and under must have direct supervision by someone 12 years and older. 7 years to 9 years may use the facility with someone 12 years and over in the facility.  10 years and over may use the facility without supervision.  13-14 years may use the weight room with direct supervision of a parent.  15 years and older may use the weight room alone.  ALL USERS OF THE REC CENTER MUST HAVE A RESERVATION.
  • Gymnasium Information: We ask all users of the gym to please bring their own ball or equipment at this time.  Pickleball courts are available by reservation in the mornings.  Volleyball/Basketball is available by reservation in the afternoons.   
  • Rentals: Rooms can be rented at a 50% capacity or a max size of 50 people depending on the space being rented. Groups will be required to social distance.  We are still not accepting shelter rentals, but they are open on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Swimming Pool: Mornings will be reserved for lap swim & water walking, and water fitness. The afternoons will now be available for reserved & limited open swim with a maximum of 25 people utilizing the space at one time.    You must reserve your time online. We are asking pool users to please come dressed in their swimming suit.  Locker Room use is limited due to social distancing standards. The fee is either a daily admission or a membership. Private Pool Rentals are still available on Saturday mornings.  These will be a charge at $50 for each group. Max group size of 12.   • Continued Closures: The teen room is not available at this time.
  • Drop in Child Care is now available as a registration.  Drop-Ins will not be accepted.  The fee is $9/ week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) or $6/week (Tuesday, Thursday).  8:45am – 11am.

Active Adults:

  • Foot Care Clinic for Seniors - Our next Senior Foot Care Clinic will be on Wednesday, October 28th. Call and schedule your appointment today! (303) 857-4200
  • The senior lunch program will continue Mondays from 12:00-12:30 pm as a pickup/drive thru basis. Reservations are required by the Thursday before. Call 303-857-4200 ext. 6166 to reserve yours today!
  • Silver Sneaker Yoga will be on Friday’s from 9am-9:45am and 10am-10:45am.
  • Our Silver Sneaker Classic class is on Monday’s from 9am – 9:45am.

o  Clean-up Month September: The city of Fort Lupton has changed our 2020 Clean-Up Day to a voucher program. Residents within city limits will receive a voucher for ONE FREE drop off to the landfill ($171 value) for the month of September.
